Greg and Patricia Mapes have been raising children for three decades, in conjunction with many years of business, ministry, revelatory, and pastoral experience.
An all-state athlete growing up in Michigan, Greg began his college education at the United States Air Force Academy. When his military career was shortened by a football injury, he attended the University of Michigan where he received a degree in engineering, followed by an MBA from Southern Methodist University. Presently he is the COO/CFO of Iformata Communications, a video network and video services provider.
Patricia grew up in St. Louis Park, Minnesota, and attended Gustavus Adolphus College and the University of Texas–Dallas. In 2006, she founded the Nexus Institute, a spiritual teaching and training group that includes Nexus Relief Organization and Nexus Connection. She is the author of Reaching Your Destiny, a training course that helps people overcome obstacles and be who they were created to be. It has been widely taught in the United States and Europe.
In addition to their business careers, Greg and Patricia have served in several churches, including Kansas City Christian Fellowship; Trinity Church in Fort Worth; and the Quad Cities Vineyard Christian Fellowship and New London Bridge, both of which Greg co-planted. For many years, Greg was the president of Streams Ministries International, and Patricia was chancellor of the Streams Institute for Spiritual Development. In addition to teaching, both of them have experience in prophetic and healing ministry.
They reside in North Sutton, New Hampshire, and have four adult children.
